Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Coast
An aircraft flying above a well-attended southern California beach abruptly started spinning wildly, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Footage posted on social media capture the helicopter starting to spin above the beach then falling towards the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.
First Aid Details
Local firefighters said five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities said the aircraft was associated with an yearly “Cars and Copters” fundraising event set for the following day.
